3) Customer Code of Conduct / Zero Tolerance Policy: We always maintain a professional environment and ask that our customers reciprocate this while we are working on their property. Our staff have the right to carry out their work without fear of violence, abuse, or harassment. All behavior - verbal or physical - which causes staff to feel uncomfortable, embarrassed or threatened is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated. This Zero Tolerance Policy includes aggression or threats made in person, over the telephone or in written communication and may result in immediate Termination of Contract. Our customers shall not discriminate against any of our workers based on factors such as age, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, national origin, race, religion, or political affiliation. We advise our clients that it is both unethical and unprofessional to attempt to bully our staff into performing work or services outside of the scope of work for free.

4) Flat Rate Pricing: Flat rate pricing means charging a single price for a service, no matter how long it takes to complete the service. This type of pricing is appealing to businesses and customers because it is a straightforward approach. We believe that flat rates are the most efficient way to charge for our services. This allows us to provide the best possible service to our clients without worrying about how long the job will take. With that said, we do not charge by the hour or by the day. We feel that this would only lead to confusion and would not be the most transparent way to do business. There will be no comprehensive breakdown of job costs, itemized expenses, or Hours spent broken down for any clients about any of our services. There are numerous factors that dictate the cost of a service.

5) Scheduling: Scheduling in a business where productivity is reliant on the weather can be tough. Bad weather can affect scheduling. We do our best to keep scheduling conflicts to a minimum, but circumstances that are out of our control may affect your project start and completion dates. You will be notified of any changes. Customers must make sure they do not create or encourage any conflicts of interest as it pertains to the scope of work we are contracted to do. For example, do not schedule other exterior service providers for the same day as our services. We will refrain from spraying any water if other companies are present and have to reschedule.  If we show up and find that we are unable to complete our services at the appointed time because we are running into other contractors who are also working, you may be subject to a non-refundable rescheduling fee $300.00USD.

6) Payments: As per the contract schedule, all payments to Simple Clean LLC Power Washing Services are due upon completion of the job. This includes payments by check, cash, or credit/debit card through ThryvPay Online. If there is any variance from this policy, it must be agreed upon in writing on our contract. Late charges will be immediately assessed on all balances not paid in accordance with contract terms. The customer agrees to pay any collection cost incurred by Simple Clean LLC Power Washing Services related to the collection process of outstanding balances.

7) Before / After Photos and Videos: Before and after photos are taken for records and may be used for marketing purposes on social media platforms. No sensitive personal information is documented or shared. If you are uncomfortable with project photos or videos being shared online, please notify us at the time of service. Pictures of pre-existing property damage at the property may be used to prove the damage already existed, releasing liability from us.

8) Courtesy: It is important that all windows and doors are shut so that we may perform our services. We will be spraying high volumes of water around your house and property and must ask that you remain inside while work is being performed. Please use caution when entering and leaving your house, as it is your responsibility to keep all children and pets away from the work area while we are performing work on your property. This is for your safety as well as our own. After our work is completed, you must keep children and pets off the work surface until areas have thoroughly dried out.

9) Removal & Replacement of Deck/Patio Contents: Items that are fragile and decoration that is on the exterior of the house can be damaged by water and should be removed. If we need to remove items from the deck for any reason, we are not responsible for any damage, breakage, or storage issues that may happen. It is your responsibility as the homeowner to remove and replace any grills, deck furniture, planters or other items. You should also ensure that any trash, cardboard or recycling is clean and orderly so that no mess can be made.

10) Contractor Policy: If you are a General Contractor who is only seeking to sub-contract our services so that you can egregiously inflate our price to your clients for your own profit, without using our services as an integral part of your initial service project, we have the right to reject your estimate and terminate you as a client. We refuse to remove our Uniforms, Logos, and Branding while on other contractor’s jobsites. It is your duty to ensure your client has all belongings moved away from areas we will be working on, all windows and doors are shut, the water is turned on, cars are moved away from areas being worked on, and the homeowner or property owner is aware of our impending arrival to perform the requested work. If any of the aforementioned conditions are not complied with, we reserve the right to charge an additional non-refundable rescheduling fee of $300.00USD, in addition to the initial estimate. This fee is due prior to setting another date to performance the service. If these conditions are not met, service may be rejected overall. It is of the utmost importance that all parties comply.

11) Damages: At Simple Clean LLC Power Washing Services, we are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers. However, we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing damages or damages that may occur due to improperly installed siding, loose shingles, or siding, broken or opened windows, improperly sealed windows and doors, wood rot, defective construction, improperly secured wires, loose or improperly installed gutters and leaders, and improper caulking. Sometimes, when homes are badly weathered it can even affect the way it dries out. Unfortunately, this is something completely out of our control. This applies to vinyl, aluminum, painted wood, Hardie board and fiber cement siding.

12) Siding Oxidation: Unfortunately, no product or substrate that is outside and being subject to UV rays will stay 100% intact. The sun's UV rays are what causes siding oxidation. If you have never really looked for it, you may not be aware of whether or not your home's siding has started to oxidize. There is one way that often works to see if your siding has oxidation. Simply wet your finger and rub it on a dry area of your siding, then look at your finger. If you see any chalky substance or whiteness on your finger, then your siding has started or is well along in the oxidation process. Sometimes customers will notice that the shape of a plant is visible on their siding - this is because the plant has protected the area from oxidizing. Unfortunately, this is something that we have no control over. This oxidation can occur to Vinyl, Aluminum, Painted Wood, Hardie Board and Fiber Cement Siding.

13) Electrical Usage and Water Usage: By approving this estimate, you agree to allow Simple Clean LLC to use an on-site source of electricity to complete the project as stated. If an exterior source of electricity is required, it will be at an additional charge. By approving the estimate, you agree to allow Simple Clean LLC Power Washing Services to use an on-site water supply as needed to complete the stated project. If an exterior water supply is required like a Tanker or Remote Water Source, it will be at an additional charge. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure the water supply is on and in working order before we arrive. Additional charges will be applied if water is not available.

14) Townhomes and Multi-Family Living: It is your responsibility as the homeowner to notify your immediate neighbors of the services you have hired us for. This includes request that they have all windows shut, items moved away from areas being worked on that can be damaged by water and letting them know when and how long the service will take. We have had scheduled services to clean that needed to be rescheduled upon arrival due to the neighbors' windows being open, they having exterior work being performed, cars in the way, and not having moved any items that may get wet or damaged. It is important that your neighbors comply with your requests and prepare for a heavy thunderstorm, as we perform our exterior cleaning services and use high volumes of water. We have had the police called on us for Trespassing by simply walking over property lines to get access to middle-unit townhomes so we can service and clean them. We have dealt with non-compliant neighbors who could care less and interrupt our service, which can block our services from being performed altogether. If you have neighbors who may be an issue, please notify us prior to service so we can handle the situation accordingly.

15) Exterior Stains: Some stains are not able to be removed through power washing. For example, tree sap, artillery fungus, and paint splatters cannot be removed by conventional means. If there are any oxidized caulk drips around windows, oxidized siding powder, metal oxide drips from metals, or stripes on gutters, we will attempt to point these areas out to the customer before beginning the project. However, sometimes these stains cannot be removed at all. There is a chance that restoration cleaners for certain substrates may work to remove certain stains, but this will come at an additional charge with no guarantees.

16) Watertight: It is imperative that your property is in good repair, weather tight and ready for a Heavy Rain/Storm as we will be washing the exterior of your home. This includes but is not limited to all electrical service including receptacles and light fixtures. Doors and windows shall also be weathertight. Simple Clean LLC Power Washing Services is not responsible for damages because of water infiltration from poor or improper installation, maintenance or repair of electrical related items or doors or windows. Any issues with power outages during storms and Exterior GFCIs that trip during bad weather should be mentioned to our company prior to work being performed.

17) Window Spotting: Windows may or may not become water spotted because of your hard water source. The levels of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in your water vary from municipality to township, with some areas having higher levels than others. We take appropriate steps to reduce spotting and use special window cleaning surfactants to help with the rinsing process and prevent spotting. Hard mineral stains may occur on brick/stucco window ledges as water splashes up from years of continual rain, which can bring mortar and minerals from the stone substrate and stain the window. Window restoration cleaning is recommended but is not included in our services.

18) Concrete: The appearance of concrete is dependent on numerous factors, the majority of which are linked to when the concrete was initially poured and cured. When concrete that is dirtied with mold, mildew, algae, and other pollutants and stains is cleaned, the concrete will then reveal any and all cosmetic imperfections that the pollutants and stains have been hiding. It is important to understand that not all concrete will look the same, even on the same driveway, patio, sidewalk, or concrete slab.

19) Calcium/Efflorescence Staining: Stains and deposits of this nature will be chemically treated for removal with appropriate industry standard chemicals and appropriate water pressure. However, total removal is not guaranteed for these deposits, as doing so would risked severe damage to the exterior building material. In time, stains will likely reappear, as they are leaching from calcium chloride deposits in the masonry joints.

20) Rust Stains: Rust stains should be treated with industry standard chemicals and washed with the appropriate pressure. Usually, rust stains can be removed in most circumstances. However, the cause of the rust stains must be addressed (i.e. rusting hardware, metal elements, etc.) or stains will reappear in a short time. We cannot be held responsible for re-emerging rust stains that have been removed if the underlying cause of rust is not remedied.
